At Least 83,500 Voters Boycotted all of the Candidates?

As a press-conference in Sarajevo, the president of Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Ms. Irena Hadziabdic, reported that in the selection of Croatian and Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, the total of 6.88% of ballots were invalid, of which 3.92% (39,000) were unmarked, and the remainder of invalid ballots was 2.96%.

In the contest for the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 9.44% of ballots were invalid. 7.04% (44 500) were unmarked while the remaining invalid votes totaled 2.40 percent.

"This makes us believe that here we are seeing a kind of voter boycott, associated with certain discriminatory provisions in the election law," said Ms. Hadziabdic, adding that the CEC will carry out checks of this data.
