The US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina is honored to announce the return visit of Mr. Martin Luther King, III, son of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King, from May 4-6, 2010. Mr. King, III is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The King Center in Atlanta. Founded in 1968, the goal of The King Center is to continue the important work in promoting a nonviolent movement for justice, equality, and peace embodied in the legacies of his parents.
Mr. King is primarily here to dedicate a new American reading room at the Stolac High School in honor of his father Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Wednesday May 5 at 12:00. The reading room is funded by the U.S. Embassy and is a result of Mr. King’s visit to the Stolac High School last year. Additionally, Mr. King will pay a courtesy call on the Presidency and afterwards meet briefly with the staff of the non-government organization The Education Center for Democracy and Human Rights Civitas.
