Patty Chaffee, vice president of the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce is quoted in the announcement that Springfield, Vt., will host the premier of "The Simpsons Movie." "We're so excited," Chaffee said. "We came in at the last minute, and for us to win, we feel like the underdogs, which makes this so big and so great for us."
Senator Patrick Leahy congratulated Vermonters today in a press release. "We're glad for the honor, and today we're all from Springfield. As much as we Vermonters prize our privacy, we also welcome this attention to our beautiful state.
